About the Artist
Ramesh Hengadi lives in Dahau district in Thane, Maharashtra. He is a son of the head of the Warli tribal clan. He learnt Warli painting from the women in his village by observing and accompanying them during village festivals and marriages. He has B.A and M.A . in Rural Development Studies from the University of Mumbai. He is involved in the Adivasi culture and Warli art training programs and organic framing. He has participated in many exhibitions and educational programs in India and abroad.
